Visiting Muttara Hills is free of charge and the most recommended time to go is during mornings and evenings. Please note that there are two main ways to reach the top of the hill. The first is a strenuous trek, which may not be suitable for children or some individuals. If you choose to drive, make sure to park in the designated area. Alternatively, you can take the stairs, which are the preferred option, to reach the hilltop.

The nearest major city and airport to Muttara Hills Kottarakara is Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, which is approximately 63 kilometers away. The nearest railway station is Kottarakara which is 6.5 kilometers away. From Kottarakara, you can take a taxi or drive to Muttara Hills, and then follow the signs. Local buses are also available from major cities to Kottarakara.
