During the monsoon season from June to August, the peak is closed for trekking due to heavy rains and landslides. Also, it can get extremely cold and windy from December to February. Therefore, it is advisable to carry warm clothes and a windcheater. You will also require prior permission from the forest department to enter the park and trek to the summit.
