Aruvikkachal Waterfalls is located 33 kilometers away from Vagamon, one of the most popular hill stations in Kerala, and 35 kilometers away from Aruvikkuzhi Waterfalls, another waterfall in the Kottayam district. Aruvikkachal Waterfalls is open to the public from 6 AM to 7 PM and does not require an entry fee. The monsoon season is the ideal time to visit the falls. However, visitors should exercise caution during monsoon season as the rocks will be highly slippery. To experience a safe visit, October to March will be an ideal time with pleasant weather.
The Waterfall is located in the Poonjar Thekekara Panchayat near Pathampuzha and is conveniently accessible by road. From Eratupetta, visitors need to travel 13 kilometers on the Poonjar Mundakayam road and then turn onto the Panchayat Road near Pathampuzha Junction. The road leading to the waterfall is partly concrete and tarred, allowing all types of vehicles to navigate it. Upon reaching Aruvikachal, a 200-meter walk is required to reach the waterfall.
