Bastion Bungalow is a well-known tourist attraction in Kochi, India, located near Vasco da Gama Square in Fort Kochi. It is currently the Sub-official Collector’s house. The Bastion Bungalow is an example of Indo-European architecture that is mostly influenced by the Dutch style. Built in 1667, Bastion Bungalow is a sea-facing Dutch heritage property. During British time, the Bastian Bungalow was utilized as a residence. Colonel Macaulay, a Cochin resident in the early nineteenth century, stayed in this building. The name Bastion Bungalow comes from its placement on the site of the former Dutch fort’s Stromberg Bastion.
