It is located just outside the village of Pindimana, around 10 kilometers from Kothamangalam and 50 kilometers from Kochi’s major metropolis. Bhoothathankettu is one of Kerala’s most beautiful dams, with some of the best trekking paths in the state. It’s a thrilling experience to go through the woodlands here. A boat ride is a lovely way to see the natural beauty of the exhibit here. The famed Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary is nearby. The name Bhoothathan Kettu means “monster fort,” and it was once thought to have been created by a Bhootham (monster).
