While there is no entry fee to visit Chettuva Backwater, hiring a boat ranges from INR 5000 to 8000 per boat, or INR 150 per person, with additional charges for food. The best times to visit are during the winter and summer seasons.

Accessible by bus or cab, Chettuva Backwater is located about 30 km from Thrissur town, with the nearest railway station being Guruvayur, just 10 km away. Cochin International Airport, situated 73 km away, is the closest airport. The backwater area is open daily from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
