The Haripad Sree Subrahmanya Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple located at Haripad in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, dedicated to Lord Subrahmanya (also known as Lord Kartikeya). It is believed to be one of the oldest temples in Kerala and was established even before the start of Kali Yuga. The temple is also known as Kerala Palani or Dakshina Palani (Southern Palani) and is sometimes referred to as the Palani of the South.
The temple is built according to the traditional architecture of Kerala and has four gopurams. The temple is a major tourist attraction in the region, along with the Mannarasala Temple and the Payippad Jalolsavam festival. The temple has suffered damage from a major fire in the past. The current idol of Lord Subrahmanya is believed to have been recovered from the Govindamuttom Backwaters, where it was left by Lord Parasurama after performing Poojas.
