Janakikad Ecotourism Center, nestled in Maruthonkara village in Kozhikode district, Kerala, spans an impressive 131 hectares and offers a dense forest experience teeming with diverse plant life and wildlife. This center, named after V. K. Janaki Amma, sister of V. K. Krishna Menon, is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, including hornbills and butterflies. Janakikad has unexplored wilderness in store, starting with the ticket counter in the form of termite mounds and the animal figures etching Janakikad’s door. There is an extensive biodiversity of plants in the forest.

In Janakikad, you will enjoy a leafy walk under the canopy and indulge yourself in bird-watching and tracking butterflies.
