Kailasappara Hill Top can be visited throughout the year but the ideal time to visit is from October to February, especially during mornings and evenings. There is no entry fee to visit the hilltop and is located 3 kilometers from Nedumkandam, 14 kilometers from Thooval Waterfalls, and 14 kilometers away from Ramakkalmedu. The nearest railway station is Pala in the Kottayam district located 105 kilometers away and the closest airport is Cochin International Airport 109 kilometers away from the viewpoint.
Due to the bad condition of the road leading to the viewpoint, vehicles with low acceleration may encounter difficulties in reaching this location. As a solution, we can park our vehicles at a spot located 1 kilometer before the viewpoint.
