Visitors can reach the island by taking a boat ride from Kodapuram jetty, which is just 5 minutes away from NH 66 passing through Eramalloor. It is recommended to make bookings for your boat ride, there are both private and government boat services available to opt for. Buses are also available from Cherthala and Kochi to Eramalloor. The nearest railway station is Ezhuppunna located 3.5 kilometers away and the closest airport is Cochin International Airport located 46 kilometers away from Kakkathuruthu Island.
