Kayamkulam Mermaid Statue

The Kayamkulam Mermaid Statue, situated on the shore of Kayamkulam Lake in the Alappuzha district, is the biggest in Kerala. The concrete statue was made by sculptor John Kollakadavu, who won the state youth award. The 26 ft high and 35 ft long statue is part of the Kayamkulam Lake tourism project.  The Kayamkulam Mermaid Statue is the finishing point of the Kayamkulam boat race conducted in August every year.
