Kayamkulam Mermaid Statue

Kayamkulam Mermaid Statue situated on the shore of Kayamkulam Lake in the Alappuzha district is the biggest Mermaid Statue in Kerala. The concrete statue was made by sculptor Johns Kollakadavu, who won the state youth award. The 26 ft high and 35 ft lengthy statue is part of the Kayamkulam Lake tourism project.  Kayamkulam Mermaid Statue is the finishing point of the Kayamkulam boat race conducted in August every year.
