The Kerala Folklore Museum in Kochi, Kerala, is the only architectural museum in Kerala. It serves as a centre of culture for South India’s heritage and culture. The George Thaliaths’ museum campaign strives to conserve culture, tradition, and folk art education. With the assistance of 62 woodworkers over the course of 7.5 years of arduous labour, they produced this Temple of art out of 25 historical heritage structures that combined into a single structure of ancient architecture.
It ranges from conventional architecture to prehistoric sculptures, woodwork, prehistoric terracotta, Indian bronzes, stonework, old paintings, old jewellery, old utensils, prehistoric agricultural equipment, prehistoric coins, and all other ethnic artefacts related to South Indian rural and tribal life. The Museum aspires to teach the next generation about art and give visitors from all around the world a chance to experience Kerala as they have never seen it. Today, museums have evolved into must-visit destinations for tourists, students, scholars, and anthropologists.
