Keralam – Museum of History and Heritage

Keralam – Museum of History and Heritage is a museum located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The museum is built with an aim to preserve the history and heritage of Kerala which dates back more than three thousand years. The museum is a joint initiative by the Kerala tourism and Kerala State Department of Archaeology. The Keralam – Museum of History and Heritage is nearby the popular Napier Museum and Thiruvananthapuram Zoo. It is Kerala’s first thematic and interactive museum that features a variety of the state’s heritage and culture.

The museum uses contemporary methods like touchscreen terminals to illustrate the exhibits and multimedia systems to render documentary videos in order to enable effective content distribution and user interaction. You can choose from a variety of exhibits at Keralam that will introduce you to the many facets of the state, such as its people, traditions, lifestyle, art, trade, and more. The museum has a souvenir shop of Culture Shoppe for visitors.

Keralam – Museum of history and heritage is open on all working days from 10 AM to 5.30 PM except Mondays & public holidays. The entrance fee for adults is INR 20, for children INR 10, and for foreigners INR 200. The museum is located just 3 kilometers away from the city center and is easily accessible by road.
