Koyikkal Palace located at Nedumanagad in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala is a palace that was built in the 16th century for Umayamma Rani of the Venad Royal Family. Koyikkal Palace is a two-story structure that was constructed using Keralan traditional architectural design. Currently, the palace hosts the Folklore Museum (on the first floor) and a Numismatics Museum (on the ground floor) that has priceless unique antique collections. This two-story royal mansion, which is thought to be the oldest palace ever constructed by the rulers of Venad, represents the artistic perfection of South Kerala’s medieval architecture.
