Kozhikode Beach, also known as Calicut Beach, is a popular destination along the Malabar Coast in Kerala. Positioned on the western edge of Kozhikode city, it has long served as a central gathering place for locals and tourists alike. Even with the city’s commercial focus shifting to newer areas such as Mananchira, Mavoor Road, and Thondayad Bypass, Kozhikode Beach retains its essence as a cultural hub. The 28-kilometre-long beach road that runs from Beypore to Kappad connects visitors to numerous historical and natural sites along the coast.

Along the beachfront, one can explore prominent landmarks like the Barami Masjidh, Gandhi Peace Foundation, and All India Radio’s broadcasting centre. Nearby streets like Cherootty Road and Silk Street bustle with shopping activity and have a rich trading legacy. For culinary experiences, Nalam Gate on P.T. Kozhikode Beach is open to all and doesn’t charge an entry fee. It’s easily accessible from the city centre, with local buses and autorickshaws frequently plying the route. The nearest railway station is Kozhikode (Calicut) Railway Station, just 3 km away, and Calicut International Airport is located about 29 km from the beach.
