Located on the Malabar Coast of India, Kozhikode Beach, or Calicut Beach is a beach on the western side of Kozhikode. This beach is one of the biggest attractions in Calicut. People gather to watch the sunset from the beach in huge numbers. In the shacks that surround the site, one gets a fresh supply of seafood.
It is the central beach at Calicut and the most visited. A magnificent lighthouse and two piers opening into the sea welcome you as well. For over a hundred years, both have been here. Kids flock to Lions Park and the adjacent marine water aquarium, which is open from 8 am to 8 pm.
