The stadium has a state-of-the-art drainage system that allows games to resume within 20 minutes of rainfall, minimizing interruptions.
Krishnagiri Stadium has hosted four first-class matches to date, including two between India and South Africa in 2015. The stadium has witnessed some exciting performances from both teams, with India A emerging victorious in both matches by narrow margins. The stadium has also hosted two Ranji Trophy matches, with Kerala winning both games convincingly in 2014 and 2015.
