Kudukathupara Ecotourism or Kudukathupara View Point is a three-rock structure situated at Anakkulam in the Kollam districts of Kerala. The surrounding areas of the Kudukathupara area offer many opportunities for ecotourism. The area is also known for its beautiful landscapes and scenic hiking trails, which are popular among nature enthusiasts. The famous Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary and Jatayu Earth’s Center are located near Kudukathupara.

Kudukkathupara is an elevated village that sits at a height of 840 meters above sea level. There are hiking trails available that will take you up to a height of 780 meters, where you can see 2 rocks. The highest rock, however, is not open for hiking. From the top, one can experience breathtaking views that offer a glimpse into 4 districts of Kerala and a small portion of Tamil Nadu.
The forest ranges of the Alayamon Panchayat offer a peaceful and quiet environment to visitors, with ample medicinal plants and snowing hills around during the winter. Surely, Kudukkathupara Eco-Tourism is a wonderful option in the Kollam district to explore with family or friends, but visitors with small children should exercise caution as climbing to the top is not easy. The location is not very crowded, and visitors can enjoy the forest fines for hours. As there are no shops nearby Kudukkathupara, please be sure to carry enough water and snacks to enjoy an uninterrupted hike and explore the magnificent hill station.

Although the best time to explore nature is during monsoon, to avoid risks during the hike our recommendation as the ideal time to visit this place is from October to March. To reach Kudukkathupara, visitors need to take the Kollam-Anchal-Channapetta route. Reaching here can be tricky as the road leading to Kudukkathupara is not proper and we highly recommend you travel by a vehicle that has good ground clearance. The nearest railway station is at Anchal at a distance of 11 Kilometers and the closest airport is Thiruvananthapuram International Airport located 65 kilometers away from Kudukkathupara Eco-Tourism.
