Mararikulam Beach

Mararikulam Beach or Marari Beach is a beautiful 8-kilometer stretch of beach located between Cherthala and Alappuzha in Kerala. It is known to be one of the most scenic beaches in Kerala with white sand and several coconut trees providing a unique appearance to the beach. Marari beach is a must-visit for its white sand and secluded setting. It offers a relaxing experience with homestay options that provide direct beach access. Marari beach is located 15 kilometers away from Alappuzha and is a better option than Alappuzha beach due to its cleanliness and fewer crowds.

The beach is not overcrowded on weekdays making it ideal for a peaceful beach experience. There are local cafes and beach chairs available for rent. While transport options are available to reach the beach, the lack of parking spaces can be a problem during public holidays and weekends. Although there are limited beach activities and food options, the silence of the village and the sound of the waves make it an ideal spot for those seeking privacy and relaxation. Marari Beach is located just about 2 kilometers away from Mararikulam and can be reached easily by road. The best time to visit the beach is during the evenings from October to February. The closest railway station to the beach is at Mararikulam located about 2.5 kilometers away and the closest airport is Cochin International Airport which is located about 71 kilometers away from Mararikulam beach.
