The Mattupetty Dam, or Madupetty Dam, is a gravity dam constructed in the late 1940s as part of the Pallivasal hydroelectric project in Kerala, India. The Indo-Swiss Dairy Farm

Madupetty also referred to as the ‘cattle village,’ owes its name to the Indo-Swiss farm project, also known as the Livestock project. This initiative was established in 1963 as part of a bilateral agreement between India and the Swiss government.

The farm is open to visitors every day except on Mondays, from 9 AM to 11 AM and from 2 PM to 3:30 PM. Visitors can witness the cows being milked and fed and can also purchase fresh dairy products from the farm. The farm is home to hundreds of high-yielding cattle breeds, and observing them grazing freely on the hills is an unforgettable experience for any tourist.
