If you have a 4×4 vehicle or an off-road bike, you can drive up to a certain point and then start trekking from there.

Best Time to Visit: The hill station has a pleasant climate throughout the year, with an average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. There is no entry fee or set timings to visit Muthukora Mala, the best time to visit is from October to March when the weather is clear and dry.

How to Reach: There are two routes to reach Muthukora Mala. One is Erattupetta – Poonjar – Kaippally – Muthukoramala and another is Erattupetta – Poonjar – Kunnoni – Muthukoramala. To reach the hills, one can take a bus or taxi to Erattupetta from nearby towns like Kottayam and Pala, and then hire a jeep or bike to reach the base of the hill. The nearest railway station is Pala which is located 27 kilometers away and the closest airport is Cochin International Airport located 94 kilometers away.
