Palaruvi Waterfalls

Palaruvi Waterfalls is located at Palaruvi in the Kollam district of Kerala and near Tenkasi, Shenkottai, and Courtallam in the Tamil Nadu state. Palaruvi falls from a height of 300 feet and is one of the most visited places in the district. Palaruvi (literally “stream of milk”) Waterfalls has developed into a great picnic area where one may take in the breathtaking scenery without any interruptions. As the name (Palaruvi) suggests, the water is so pure, and the magnificent falls attract big crowds of people, especially during the weekends. One can visit the Palaruvi Falls any day throughout the year, and it is open from 8 AM to 4 PM. The best time to visit this place is from October to March. The entry fee for Palaruvi Waterfalls is INR 25 for adults, INR 10 for Children, and INR 50 for Parking. One has to take a bus/van to reach the falls from the entrance by paying INR 50; the drive to the waterfalls through the thick, lush green forest is very scenic.
