The Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, which also includes the former Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, is a 391-square-kilometer protected area in Kerala’s Palakkad district. It is located in Kollengode Block, Chittur Taluk. In 1973, the wildlife sanctuary, which covered 285 square kilometers, was created. It is located between the Anaimalai and Nelliyampathy Hills in the Sungam range of hills.
