The sanctuary is blessed with a thick cover of evergreen forest and many plants with medicinal value. It is home to many wildlife creatures such as turtles, porcupines, wild pigs, Malabar Hornbills, slender lorises, jungle cats, peacocks, and butterflies.
The Parappa Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 8 AM to 4 PM, and the entry fee is INR 20 per adult. The best time to visit the sanctuary is from October to February, when the weather is pleasant and cool.
