Parappa Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Parappa in the Kasargode district of Kerala, around 45 kilometers away from Kasargode town. It is one of Kerala’s most well-known wildlife sanctuaries and is home to a wide range of natural habitats.
The Sanctuary is situated in Chervathur’s Kanhangad range with many wildlife including elephants, turtles, peacocks, hornbills, and many others. Parappa Wildlife Sanctuary is covered in lush green splintered trees and herbal plants.
The sanctuary is blessed with a thick cover of evergreen forest and many plants with medicinal value. It is home to many wildlife creatures such as turtles, porcupines, wild pigs, Malabar Hornbills, slender lorises, jungle cats, peacocks, and butterflies.
The Parappa Wildlife Sanctuary is open from 8 AM to 4 PM, and the entry fee is INR 20 per adult. The best time to visit the sanctuary is from October to February when the weather is pleasant and cool.
