Paravur Lake

Paravur Lake, also known as Paravur Kayal, is a small lake located in Paravur town of Kollam district of Kerala. Paravur Lake is a popular tourist destination in Kollam, attracting a good number of tourists. The lake offers breathtaking panoramic views from the mountain patios situated north and east of the place. The lake has an area of 6.62 km² and is the endpoint of the Ithikkara River. Paravur Lake has been connected to Edava and Ashtamudi Lakes as part of the Trivandrum – Shoranur canal system since the late 19th century.
