Visitors must trek 500 m from the parking area to reach Eagle Rock, but the walk is not too difficult, and there are several spots along the way to sit and relax.

The view from the top of the rock is considered the best. The area can become quite crowded during the pilgrimage season when Sabarimala devotees visit to witness Makara Jyothi, making it a busy place during this time.
