Nestled amidst the lush green forests of Thalikode, about 15 kilometers away from Thrissur, Pattathippara Waterfalls is a hidden gem awaiting discovery by nature enthusiasts. Pattathippara Falls promises an enchanting experience for those willing to venture into its tranquil surroundings. The forest atmosphere exudes a sense of serenity and tranquility, making it an ideal destination for nature hangouts and trekking adventures. Rubber plantations dominate the area, adding to the unique charm of the landscape.

Discover the Hidden Jewel: Pattathippara Waterfalls Adventure

Although challenging to locate without clear landmarks, the journey to this natural wonder is worth the effort. The waterfall’s pristine clear waters, although occasionally marred by litter, offer a refreshing escape from the bustle of daily life. However, access to the falls is restricted to a rough trekking route, as driving access is unavailable.

While the Pattathippara Waterfalls itself may be less prominent during the early monsoon season, the forested terrain surrounding it remains a highlight of the journey. Visitors are advised to plan their visit on weekdays to avoid crowds and to check the seasonal weather conditions beforehand. The best time to experience the full splendor of Pattathippara Waterfall is from July to November, particularly during the monsoon season when the falls are at their most magnificent.

Pattathippara Waterfalls: A Tranquil Forest Escape

The three-tiered Pattathippara Waterfalls stands approximately 100 feet tall, making it a popular tourist destination, especially during the monsoon months. The cascading waters are surrounded by verdant greenery, creating a picturesque setting that beckons to be explored.

Accessible via a 2-3 km trekking trail, the waterfall offers a tranquil forest adventure for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. There is no entry fee for Pattathippara Waterfalls but access to the waterfall area is restricted as it is situated within a reserve forest. Unauthorized entry is subject to imprisonment and fines.

While the water flow may be limited, particularly after the rainy season, the natural beauty of Pattathippara Waterfall and its surrounding forest area make it a destination worth experiencing responsibly.
