Puthuvype Lighthouse or Vypin Lighthouse or Cochin Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in Kerala, located at Puthuvype Beach in Kochi, Kerala. The Cochin Lighthouse has a long history, despite the fact that it only began operating on November 15, 1979. The lighthouse in Fort Kochi, which had been operational since 1839, was relocated to Puthuvype in 1979. The tower is 46 meters tall and composed of double-layered concrete. The range of the light beam is 28 nautical miles.
