Swargam Kunnu

Swargam Kunnu is a very less explored attraction in the Kozhikode (Calicut) district of Kerala. It is a scenic hilltop point that offers a panoramic view of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Although it may be a little risky to reach the spot, the sight of majestic elephants and other wild animals roaming free is truly awesome. As one of the top tourist attractions in Anakkampoyil, the panoramic view of Swargam Kunnu from Maripuzha is simply stunning. One has to cross Marippuzha through the scary and unstable suspension bridge built across the heavily flowing water stream. The bridge is made entirely of gourd wood, it’s sure to get your heart racing. From there, a trek through dense forest is required to reach the picturesque destination of Swargam Kunnu. Though the trek is a bit risky, the stunning views of Swargam Kunnu make it all worth it.

Swargam Kunnu is located 14 kilometers away from Kodenchery, 1.5 kilometers away from Marippuzha, and 15 kilometers away from Thusharagiri Waterfalls. Swargam Kunnu is accessible anytime throughout the year but we recommend strictly avoiding monsoon season and returning before 5 PM. The nearest railway station is Calicut railway station (52 kilometers away) and the closest airport is Calicut International Airport (61 kilometers away).
