Thali Maha Shiva Temple is one of the oldest temples in Kozhikode (Calicut). This historical temple was built by Swamy Thirumulapad. Kozhikode City’s establishment and prosperity were closely related to the sanctity of this ancient temple. The lingam in the sanctum of the Temple is believed to have been installed by Sri Parasurama at the end of Dvapara Yuga. The Tali temple was built in the 14th century.
