Vellari Mala and Waterfalls are located in the Western Ghats and are part of a high hill range known as Camel’s Hump Mountains. The hill range is mostly in the South Wayanad Division’s Meppadi Forest Range, with some sections in the Kozhikode Division’s Thamarassery Range. They are divided by the Chaliyar Valley from the Nilgiris or Nilgiri Hills in Tamil Nadu.
Vellari Mala is the picture-perfect haven to relax and indulge in nature, with a lush green canopy, babbling brooks, gurgling cascades, and heavenly waterfalls. The River Kanjirapuzha, a tributary of the Chaliyar, meanders through the rugged terrain, producing cascades and spectacular waterfalls at many stages.
