Namazgah

Perched atop a tranquil hill in Bicholim, Goa, the Namazgah stands as a testament to the region’s rich Islamic heritage. Constructed in 1683, this open-air prayer space, or eidgah, was established for Prince Akbar II, the rebellious son of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

At its center lies a box-like enclosure with arched openings on each wall, topped by a distinctive dome.
