Adi Shankaracharya Temple is located at Kalady, in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. This temple is dedicated to Sri Adi Shankaracharya in Kalady where he was born and lived the early portion of his life. It is devoted to other Gods and Goddesses, notably Goddess Saradamba, and is located on the banks of the River Periyar. In Kalady, there are two shrines devoted to Sri Adi Shankaracharya as Dakshinamoorthi, and Goddess Saradamba as the guardian deity of Sringeri, respectively.
A Keerthi Mandapam, a Geeta Upadesam centre, and a Paduka Mandapam make up the temple complex. A wonderful statue of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and his four students can be found on the top floor of the mandapam. The temple walls are richly decorated with murals depicting Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s life and works.

His commentaries on the Vedas and Upanishads are extremely important.
