Also, please keep in mind that there are no shops available after the forest check post before the Mankayam waterfalls, so visitors are advised to bring along their food and water for the day.

The tickets to enter the forest boundary of the private Braemore estate need to be obtained from the government check post located before the Mankayam waterfalls; the entry fee is INR 200 per person for a day. Visitors can also opt for a stay at the bungalows near the entrance or cottages inside the estate if they are interested in spending some quality time there and embracing the peace and tranquility the place can offer.

Braemore Marigold Estate is open from 8 AM to 6 PM on all days of the week. The best time to visit is from October to March, when the weather is pleasant, and the temperature ranges from 15°C to 25°C during that time. To reach Braemore Marigold Estate, visitors can take KSRTC buses from East Fort, Thiruvananthapuram. The first bus starts at 6 AM and reaches Braemore Estate by 7:30 AM. The nearest railway station to Braemore Estate is Thiruvananthapuram Central (46 kilometers), and the closest airport is Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (49 kilometers).
