The Indian Naval Maritime Museum, located on the premises of the INS Dronacharya in Kochi in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, is a tribute to the Indian Navy’s maritime history. The museum highlights the country’s maritime legacy, exhibits international commercial linkages, honors notable maritime individuals, and concentrates on European settlement in India.
Each section of the Maritime Museum focuses on a distinct area of the country’s naval and maritime history. It covers the history of the Indian Navy from the 1600s to the present, as well as shipbuilding efforts, numerous wars fought and won, and much more. A number of objects are on display, including fax machines found on military ships, a brass muzzle-loading canon, and rank badges, flags, and other nautical equipment offered to Indian Naval personnel. Other exhibitions and war memorabilia, such as torpedoes, rocket launchers, radars, and warship models, can be found on the lawn.
