Inside, you’ll find brass muzzle-loading cannons, ship models, naval uniforms, flags, and communication equipment used by sailors over the centuries. A dedicated section honors naval heroes such as Kunjali Marakkar, while interactive exhibits explain shipbuilding techniques and tactical evolution. The museum also features a mini-theater screening documentaries on the Navy’s role in safeguarding India’s maritime interests.
Visitor Information
Open daily (except Mondays) from 9:30 AM–1:30 PM and 2:30 PM–5:30 PM, the museum is free for children; adults pay INR 50. Still cameras incur INR 100 fee (INR 200 for foreigners), and video cameras INR 200 fee (INR 300 for foreigners). It’s a 12 km drive from Ernakulam station and 44 km from Cochin International Airport, with easy road access via NH 66.
