Kakki Dam is a dam built on the Kakki River, a tributary of the Pamba River, and is located in the Ranni Forest in the Seethathodu Grama Panchayat, Pathanamthitta District of Kerala. The dam is surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, as it is adjacent to the Periyar National Park.
Kakki Dam is a part of the Sabarigiri Hydroelectric Project. The dam was built in 1966 on the Kakki River, a tributary of the Pamba River. It has a water spread area of 17.6 square kilometers and can generate up to 722.2 MU of energy. Kakki Dam is also a popular tourist destination, offering boating, fishing, trekking, and camping activities. It is surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, and visitors can spot migratory birds such as storks, egrets, herons, and cormorants.

The dam is open to visitors from 9 AM to 5 PM on all days except Mondays, with an entry fee of INR 10 per person and INR 20 per vehicle. To reach Kakki Dam, visitors can take a bus or taxi from Pathanamthitta or Chengannur railway station. Boating charges are INR 50 per person for half an hour and INR 100 per person for one hour. Camping facilities are available at INR 500 per person per night.
To reach Kakki Dam, visitors can take a bus or taxi from Pathanamthitta, located 35 kilometers away, to Seethathodu, which is 39 kilometers away from the dam. From Seethathodu, visitors can take an autorickshaw or jeep to reach the dam site. The nearest railway station is Pathanamthitta, about 75 kilometers away, and visitors can take a train from Thiruvananthapuram or Kochi to reach there and then take a bus or taxi to Seethathodu.
