Kolavi Beach, also known as Payyoli Beach, is located at Iringal village in the Calicut (Kozhikode) district of Kerala. The beach offers a serene atmosphere, making it perfect for those seeking peace. Kolavi Beach is a secluded beach with very less visitors, making one feel like they have the beach to themselves.

Encircled by a verdant mangrove forest, the Kolavi beach may seem tiny, but the lush surroundings impart a feeling of intimacy and seclusion. The area serves as a habitat for a diverse range of creatures, contributing to the sense of exploration and intrigue. The sand on the beach is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear, rendering it an ideal place to swim and bask in the sun.

Spanning a long distance, a leisurely walk to the east or west offers identical breathtaking views. Although there are no benches or designated rest areas, visitors may be fortunate enough to find a boat to relax on. Residents frequent the beach often, making it a lively place to be. Surely, Kolavi Beach has a high potential to become one of the best beaches to visit in Kerala.

There is no entry fee for Kolavi Beach, and the ideal time to visit is during the evening (October to March) to witness the stunning sunset. Additionally, the morning is a delightful time for a jog. The beach is 43 kilometers away from Calicut and accessible from the highway within a maximum of 2 kilometers. The nearest railway station is at Kozhikode (45 kilometers), and the closest is Kannur International Airport (60 kilometers).
