Nestled in Nilambur, in the Malappuram district of Kerala, the Nilambur Teak Museum & Bio-resources Nature Park holds the distinction of being the world’s first museum dedicated to teak wood. Operated by the Kerala Forest Research Institute, this museum highlights teak’s historical, artistic, and scientific significance. Established in 1995, it is situated near the renowned ‘Conolly’s Plot,’ one of the oldest teak stands, and aims to educate visitors about teak’s tradition and production.

Surrounding the museum are beautifully maintained botanical gardens, offering a serene environment with diverse flora and a butterfly park. An 800-meter bio-resources trail provides a habitat for various bird and reptile species from the Western Ghats.
