Panamkudantha Waterfalls is a stunning natural wonder nestled in the Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. This idyllic waterfall is a lesser-known gem that promises a serene and scenic experience for nature enthusiasts. It is located near the picturesque village of Kurumpanmoozhy in the Ranni Taluk, amidst the Sabarimala forest and the revered Pamba River,

The 300 feet cascading waterfall is formed by the cool waters that gush down from the towering mountains and gather in a basin of smooth pebbles and sand. The symphony of the water splashing against the rocks and the sweet melody of the birdsong create a tranquil ambiance that soothes the soul. The water is crystal clear and refreshing, and the shallow pits provide an excellent opportunity to take a dip and relax. The waterfall flows all year round, but it’s a sight to behold during the monsoon season when it’s at its mightiest.

Plan Your Visit to Panamkudantha Waterfalls

Panamkudantha Waterfalls is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a chance to unwind and bask in the natural beauty of the forest and the waterfall while breathing in the pure air. The nearby Peruthenaruvi Waterfall, another renowned waterfall located 4 kilometers away, is also worth exploring.

The waterfall is located approximately 30 kilometers from the district headquarters of Pathanamthitta and 22 kilometers from Ranni. Accessing the waterfall requires a one-kilometer off-road drive and a short trek through the forest, making it advisable to use bikes or off-road vehicles for a better view of the surroundings. Visitors to Panamkudantha Waterfalls should exercise caution as the sloppy rocks can be highly slippery. A visit to this place during the monsoon is not recommended, the best time to visit is from October to March. There is no entry fee to visit the waterfall.

If you’re planning to visit Pathanamthitta, don’t miss out on the enchanting Panamkudantha Waterfalls.
