The Forest Department of Kerala organizes a special 2-day Pandipathu trekking package called ‘Visit To Bison Abode’, which includes a night stay in the forest, trekking, birdwatching, and wildlife sighting. To participate in the two-day program, there is a registration fee that covers the cost of food and accommodation.
Pandipathu trekking program can be booked online or by phone. You can obtain permission and more information about the program from the Wildlife Assistant Warden of Peppara Sanctuary or from the Wildlife Warden’s office in Thiruvananthapuram. The trekking package costs INR 4000 for a group of 5 Indian persons and INR 8000 for a group of 5 foreigners. Additionally, one has to pay INR 25 per day for an ordinary camera and INR 125 per day for a video camera.
