The sanctuary is a part of the Palappilli-Nelliyampathy forests, forming the northern boundary of the Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a natural haven that boasts a large variety of flora, including Moist Deciduous Forests, Evergreen forests, and Semi-evergreen forests. Visitors can also find an abundance of trees and a rich diversity of fauna, including elephants, sambar deer, barking deer, gaurs, wild boars, tigers, and leopards.
