The Kozhikode Regional Science Centre and Planetarium focus on the dissemination of science in Kerala, with an emphasis on the Malabar region. The 250-seater Kozhikode Planetarium enables one to learn the nature of the sky, the stars, and the planets. It started in 1997 and produces approximately 1200 shows annually. The Carl Zeiss projection machine in Germany illuminates the entire space and captivates anyone who gets the opportunity to see it.
On the same campus as the Planetarium, the Science Centre is situated. Technology Exhibition Halls, Mobile & Traveling Technology Exhibits, and a 3D High Definition Theatre are open. The other famous attractions here are the etymology section, named Giants of Nature, and the Aquarium.
