Vazhani Dam

The Vazhani Dam is also a popular spot for mountain biking, with a beautiful trail in the vicinity of Thrissur, Kerala that takes one deeper into the Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary.

Visitors can bring their own food and drinks, or purchase some snacks from nearby shops. If you intend to stay overnight, there are cottages and rest houses available for rent. The dam is open daily from 9 Am to 6 PM, and the entry fee is INR 20 per person. One can reach the dam by bus or taxi from Wadakkancherry town, which is around 10 Kilometers away. The nearest railway station is Wadakkanchery railway station and the closest airport is Cochin International Airport located 69 kilometers away.
