Areekal Waterfalls: A Family Getaway Haven
Areekal Waterfalls is also known as Areeckal Waterfalls or Areekkal Falls. The waterfall is a fantastic place to spend quality time with your family and friends. The waterfall is 100 feet in height and is surrounded by mild woodland and rubber plantations, making it a pleasant place for vacationers.
There is a long flight of steps to descend to reach the base, so it may be difficult for elderly people or those with physical problems. There are barriers built around the waterfall for visitors to safely enjoy the quiet surroundings paired with fresh air and occasional rains.
The crystal-clear and refreshing water of the pool invites you for a dip at the waterfall. It’s perfect for families with young children, as the water is not too deep and the flow is gentle. Nonetheless, it’s always wise to exercise caution and keep a close eye on your little ones while swimming, as there may be slick rocks or sharp edges lurking in the water.
In addition to the refreshing swimming pool, the waterfall boasts a breathtaking panoramic view of the lush, verdant landscape that surrounds it, including swaying coconut trees and vibrant vegetation. As you bask in the waterfall’s peaceful ambiance, you’ll be serenaded by the tranquil sounds of the water cascading down and the sweet melodies of chirping birds. The waterfall is particularly striking during the monsoon season, when the water volume surges and engenders a truly spectacular display.
